Guitarist, composer, music producer, cultural manager. He was born in San Antonio (port) Chile. At age 14, in a work accident, he lost all of his right arm. Despite this, he developed a self-taught technique for guitar with one hand, which he baptized as Tatap. Andrés incorporates in his music various musical and aesthetic influences from rock, folklore, classical, experimental, jazz and world music and with them builds a world full of landscapes, harmonies, with a deep charge of creative positivism. In the last 14 years he has focused his musical work on the Acoustic Guitar or Fingerstyle circuit, becoming in this period a reference and inspiration for new generations of guitarists and composers.
Famous for his percussive “tapping” style, his music is influenced by a wide range of flamenco to Celtic styles. He often performs at international guitar concerts and is an opening act for world famous artists such as James Taylor, BB King, Diana Krall, North Mississippi All-Stars, Al Green …
